(18) “He said, ‘Get out of it, disgraced and banished! Whoever among them follows you—I will surely fill Hell with you all.’”
That is, after Iblīs had said what he said, Allah said to him: “Get out of it”—an expulsion in abasement and contempt, not one accompanied by honor. Rather, “disgraced” means condemned, and “banished” means driven far from Allah, His mercy, and every good.
“I will surely fill Hell” with you and with all those among them who follow you. This is an oath from Him, Exalted is He, that the Fire is the abode of the disobedient and that He will inevitably fill it with Iblīs and his followers from among the jinn and humankind.
