(8โ9) โThe weighing on that Day will be just. Those whose scales are heavy will be the successful. But those whose scales are light are the ones who have lost their souls because they used to wrongfully reject Our signs.โ
Then He mentioned the recompense for deeds, saying: โThe weighing on that Day will be just. Those whose scales are heavy will be the successful. But those whose scales are light are the ones who have lost their souls because they used to wrongfully reject Our signs.โ That is, the weighing on the Day of Resurrection will be conducted with justice and equity, with no injustice โฆ284โฆ or wrongdoing whatsoever.
โThose whose scales are heavy,โ because the pan containing their good deeds outweighs the one containing their evil deeds, โwill be the successfulโ; that is, those delivered from what they fear and granted what they desire. They will attain immense gain and everlasting happiness.
โBut those whose scales are light,โ because their evil deeds outweigh their good deeds and thus determine the judgment, โare the ones who have lost their souls,โ for they will have missed out on everlasting bliss and incurred painful punishment, โbecause they used to wrongfully reject Our signs,โ refusing to submit to them as they were required to do.
