(27–28) The mixture of this drink is from Tasnīm, a spring from which “those brought near drink” pure and unmixed. It is the finest drink in Paradise without exception. It is therefore reserved in its pure form for those brought near, who hold the highest rank among creation, while for the people of the right it is blended—that is, mixed with pure wine and other delicious beverages.
