(8–10) “When the Trumpet is sounded, that Day will be a difficult Day, far from easy for the disbelievers.”
That is, when the Trumpet is blown for people to rise from their graves and all creation is gathered (1) for resurrection and emergence.
“That Day will be a difficult Day” because of its many horrors and hardships.
“Far from easy for the disbelievers,” for they will have despaired of every good and become certain of destruction and ruin. This implies that it will be easy for the believers, as Allah Most High says: “The disbelievers will say, ‘This is a difficult Day.’”
(1) Manuscript B reads: “created beings.”
