﴿20-21﴾ “Indeed, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger will be among the most abased. * Allah has decreed, ‘I and My messengers will surely prevail.’ Indeed, Allah is Strong, Almighty.”

This contains both a promise and a warning: a warning to those who oppose Allah and His Messenger through disbelief and sin that they will be forsaken and humiliated, with no praiseworthy end and no banner granted victory;

and a promise to those who believe in Him and His messengers, follow what the messengers brought, and thereby join the successful party of Allah, that triumph, victory, and supremacy will be theirs in this world and the Hereafter. This is a promise that will neither be broken nor changed, for it comes from the Truthful, Strong, Almighty One, whom nothing He wills can thwart.
