(75–87) “I swear by the positions of the stars—and indeed, if only you knew, it is a mighty oath.”
Allah Most High swears by the stars and their positions—that is, the places where they set in the west—and by the events Allah brings about at those times, which testify to His greatness, majesty, and oneness.
He then magnified that by which He swore, saying: “And indeed, if only you knew, it is a mighty oath.” The oath is mighty because the stars, their courses, and their setting in the west contain innumerable signs and lessons.
