(41) “The wicked will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by their forelocks and feet.”
Here He says: “The wicked will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by their forelocks and feet.” That is, the wicked will be seized by their forelocks and feet, then cast into the Fire and dragged through it. He questions them only to rebuke them and make them acknowledge what they did, though He knows it better than they do. Rather, He, Exalted is He, wills that His conclusive proof and sublime wisdom be made manifest to creation.
