(46) “And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before them. They were indeed a defiantly disobedient people.”

That is, likewise, what Allah did to Noah’s people when they denied Noah, peace be upon him, and rebelled against Allah’s command: Allah unleashed upon them torrential water from the sky and the earth. Thus Allah Most High drowned them [to the last one], leaving not a single unbeliever alive. Such is Allah’s established way with those who disobey Him.
