(38–40) “Indeed, We created the heavens and the earth and everything between them in six Days, and no weariness touched Us. * So be patient with what they say, and glorify your Lord with praise before sunrise and before sunset. * And glorify Him during part of the night and after the prayers.”
This is a declaration from Him Most High concerning His immense power and His irresistible will, by which He brought the greatest created things into existence: “the heavens and the earth and everything between them in six Days,” the first being Sunday and the last Friday, without fatigue, toil, weariness, or exhaustion. Thus, the One who brought them into existence—despite their immense size and grandeur—is all the more able to bring the dead back to life.
“So be patient with what they say,” including their disparagement of you and their denial of what you have brought. Turn away from them and become absorbed in obeying your Lord and glorifying Him at the beginning and end of the day, during the night, and after the prayers. Indeed, the remembrance of Allah Most High brings solace and comfort to the soul and makes patience easier.
