(22) “Allah created the heavens and the earth in truth, so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.”

That is, Allah created the heavens and the earth with wisdom and so that He alone, without partner, might be worshipped. Thereafter, He will recompense those whom He commanded to worship Him and upon whom He bestowed blessings, both outward and inward. Did they give thanks to Allah Most High and fulfill what they were commanded, or did they disbelieve and thereby deserve the recompense of the ungrateful?
