“Today every soul will be recompensed for what it earned. There will be no injustice today. Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning.”
“Today every soul will be recompensed for what it earned” in this world, whether good or evil, little or much. “There will be no injustice today” against anyone, whether by increasing his evil deeds or diminishing his good deeds. “Indeed, Allah is swift in reckoning.” That is, do not think that Day is slow in coming, for it is surely coming, and everything that is coming is near. He is also swift in calling His servants to account on the Day of Resurrection because His knowledge encompasses all things and His power is perfect.
