(67) “They have not esteemed Allah as He deserves to be esteemed. On the Day of Resurrection, the whole earth will be in His grasp, and the heavens will be folded in His right hand. Glorified and exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.”

Allah Most High says: These polytheists have not esteemed their Lord as He deserves to be esteemed, nor have they magnified Him as He deserves to be magnified. Rather, they have done the very opposite by associating with Him beings deficient in their attributes and actions. Their attributes are deficient in every respect, and their actions can bring neither benefit nor harm; they can neither give nor withhold and possess no authority whatsoever.

They have thus equated these deficient created beings with the Almighty Lord and Creator. Such is His dazzling greatness and overwhelming power that, on the Day of Resurrection, the whole earth will be in the grasp of the Most Merciful, while the heavens—despite their vastness and immensity—will be folded in His right hand. Whoever equates another with Him has not magnified Him as He deserves, and no one is more unjust than such a person.

“Glorified and exalted is He above whatever they associate with Him.” That is, He is far above and supremely exalted beyond their associating partners with Him.
