(9) “It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir up clouds; then We drive them to a lifeless land and thereby revive the earth after its death. Thus shall the resurrection be.”
The Most High tells of His perfect power and boundless generosity: He “sends the winds, and they stir up clouds; then We drive them to a lifeless land.” Allah causes the rain to fall upon it, “and thereby We revive the earth after its death.”
Thus the lands and their inhabitants spring to life, the animals find sustenance, and they graze amid those abundant blessings. In the same way that He revives the earth after its death, Allah will raise the dead from their graves after decay has reduced them to fragments. He will send rain upon them just as He sent it upon the lifeless earth. He will cause it to fall upon them, and their bodies and souls will come forth alive from the graves. They will then stand before Allah so that He may judge between them and decide among them with His just judgment.
