Tafsir al-SadiAbd al-Rahman al-Sadi’

“Their greeting on the Day they meet Him will be, ‘Peace,’ and He has prepared for them a noble reward.”

As for His mercy toward them in the Hereafter, it is mercy in its most sublime form and the finest of rewards: attaining their Lord’s good pleasure and His greeting, hearing His majestic speech, beholding His beautiful Face, and receiving the immense reward whose true nature no one knows or comprehends except the One who grants it to them. Hence He says: “Their greeting on the Day they meet Him will be, ‘Peace,’ and He has prepared for them a noble reward.”
