(4) “Or do those who commit evil deeds think that they can outrun Us? Evil indeed is their judgment.”
That is: Do those whose sole concern is to commit evil deeds and perpetrate offenses think that their deeds will be overlooked, that Allah will be heedless of them, or that they can escape Him—and that this is why they have ventured to commit them and found them easy to do? “Evil indeed is their judgment.” That is, evil is their judgment, for it is an unjust judgment: it entails denying Allah’s power and wisdom and supposing that they possess some power by which they can evade His punishment, when they are the weakest and most powerless of all.
