(86) “Have they not seen that We made the night for them to rest in and the day giving sight? Indeed, in that are signs for people who believe.”
That is: Have they not beheld this mighty sign and immense blessing—Allah’s subjection of the night and day to their service? The night, with its darkness, allows them to rest in it, recover from fatigue, and prepare for work; and the day, with its light, allows them to go forth in pursuit of their livelihoods and conduct their affairs. “Indeed, in that are signs for people who believe” in Allah’s perfect oneness and the fullness of His blessing.
