(51–52) “Had We willed, We could have sent a warner to every town. So do not obey the disbelievers, but strive against them through it with a mighty striving.”
Allah Most High declares that His will is fully effective: had He willed, He could have sent a warner to every town—that is, a messenger to warn and caution its people. His will is not incapable of that. However, His wisdom and His mercy toward you and His servants required—O Muhammad—that He send you to them all: red and black alike, Arab and non-Arab, human and jinn.
“So do not obey the disbelievers” by abandoning anything you have been sent ⦗585⦘ to convey. Rather, exert every effort to deliver the message with which you were sent. “But strive against them” through the Quran “with a mighty striving.” That is, spare no effort in supporting the truth and suppressing falsehood. Regardless of the denial and audacity you encounter from them, exert yourself and devote your utmost capacity. Do not despair of their guidance, nor cease conveying the message to them on account of their whims.
