(105) “With the truth We sent it down, and with the truth it descended. We sent you only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner.”
That is: We sent down this noble Quran with the truth, containing commands and prohibitions for the servants, as well as their reward and punishment. “And with the truth it descended”; that is, with truthfulness and justice, protected from every accursed devil. “We sent you only as a bearer of glad tidings” of reward, both immediate and future, for those who obey Allah, “and a warner” of punishment, both immediate and future, for those who disobey Allah. This necessarily entails explaining that of which he gave glad tidings and against which he warned.
