(35) “Give full measure when you measure, and weigh with an accurate balance. That is better and best in outcome.”
This is a command to uphold justice and give full measure and weight fairly, without defrauding or diminishing anything.
The general meaning also entails a prohibition against every form of fraud concerning a price, an item being sold, or anything subject to a contract, as well as a command to act in good faith and truthfully in all dealings.
“That is better” than failing to do so, “and best in outcome”—that is, it leads to the best consequences: through it, a servant remains free of liability, and through it, blessings descend.
