and closer than ḥabl al-warīd (the jugular vein), All-Powerful over everything and All-Witnessing, ever-active, doing whatever He wills. He is perpetually adorned with the attributes of beauty and majesty, utterly exalted above extinction or change, independent of any added perfection. He is transcendent above any need for place, both before the Throne was created and after it was created, and He is eternally possessed of the very attribute He had in pre-eternity; no change or transformation can ever reach His attributes. Glorified is He, sanctified beyond the qualities of created beings and far removed from resembling them. In this world He is known, and in the Hereafter He will be seen, just as we know Him here—without likeness or peer—for that vision is unlike the seeing of this world. Nothing is comparable to Him, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Seeing.
Third Principle: Divine Power
He, exalted is He, is capable of all things, and His sovereignty is consummately perfect. No deficiency or incapacity can approach Him; rather, whatever He has willed and whatever He wills, He does. The seven heavens, the seven earths, the Footstool, and the Throne are all within the grasp of His omnipotence, under His subjugation, disposal, and will. He alone is the Master—there is no dominion except His. Exalted far above is He above what the wrongdoers allege.
Fourth Principle: Divine Knowledge
He, exalted is He, knows every knowable, and His knowledge encompasses all things. From the loftiest heights to the soil beneath our feet, nothing escapes His awareness, for everything appeared by His knowledge, was created by His will, and was brought into being by His power. He knows the tally of the desert sands, the drops of rain, the leaves on every tree, the subtlest thoughts, and all that the winds and the air carry—each is as manifest to Him as the number of stars in the sky. All that exists in the universe is by His will and choice; nothing—whether little or much, small or great, good or evil, benefit or
