Rafʿ al-Malām - Ibn Taimiya - (89)

And even if the peril involved in this were not greater than the one mentioned before, it would surely be no less.

Therefore we must believe in the whole of the Book and follow everything that has been sent down to us from our Lord; we may not believe in part of the Book and reject part of it. Likewise, our hearts must not incline to accepting some parts of the Sunnah while shrinking from other parts on account of custom or whim, for such conduct is a departure from the Straight Path to the path of those who have incurred wrath and those who are astray.

May Allah grant us success in word and deed to do what He loves and approves, and may He bestow goodness and well-being upon us and upon all Muslims.

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of the worlds.

May Allah bless our master Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets, his pure and righteous family, his chosen Companions, his wives—the Mothers of the Believers—and all who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment, and grant them abundant peace.

وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ الْمَحْذُورُ مِنْ هَذَا أَعْظَمَ مِنْ الَّذِي قَبْلَهُ, لَمْ يَكُنْ دُونَهُ. فَلَا بُدَّ أَنْ نُؤْمِنَ بِالْكِتَابِ كلِّه, وَنَتَّبِعَ مَا أُنْزِلَ إلَيْنَا مِنْ رَبِّنَا جَمِيعِهِ. وَلَا نُؤْمِنَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَابِ وَنَكْفُرَ بِبَعْضِ. ولا وَتَلِينَ قُلُوبُنَا لِاتِّبَاعِ بَعْضِ السُّنَّةِ, وَتَنْفِرَ عَنْ قَبُولِ بَعْضِهَا بِحَسَبِ الْعَادَاتِ وَالْأَهْوَاءِ, فَإِنَّ هَذَا خُرُوجٌ عَنْ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ, إلَى صِرَاطِ الْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَالضَّالِّينَ. وَاَللَّهُ يُوَفِّقُنَا لِمَا يُحِبُّهُ وَيَرْضَاهُ مِنْ الْقَوْلِ وَالْعَمَلِ فِي خَيْرٍ وَعَافِيَةٍ لَنَا وَلِجَمِيعِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ. وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ. وَصَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَعَلَى آلِهِ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَأَصْحَابِهِ الْمُنْتَخَبِينَ, وَأَزْوَاجِهِ أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ, وَالتَّابِعِينَ لَهُمْ بِإِحْسَانِ إلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ وَسَلَّمَ تَسْلِيمًا كَثِيرًا.
