yet this edition, notwithstanding the features that distinguish it, was riddled with spelling and typographical mistakes in its supplementary sections—such as the documentation of certain hadiths. For that reason we resolved to issue a fresh printing after carefully reviewing the work and correcting those errors, and we have also appended a brief biography of the author.

Accordingly, the Presidency of the Departments of Scholarly Research—the body that bears the banner of daʿwah in this blessed land—is pleased, in presenting this valuable treatise in its new edition, to distribute it free of charge to students of knowledge. This is a contribution toward the dissemination of beneficial learning and the legacy of the righteous predecessors. We ask Allah, exalted is He, to make it of benefit to Muslims everywhere; He is indeed the best Protector and the best Supporter.
