from them. And Allah encompasses all that they do.
Then He says to Tu'mah’s people:
“Here you are, having argued on their behalf in the life of this world; but who will argue with Allah on their behalf on the Day of Resurrection, or who will be their guardian? (109) Whoever commits an evil deed or wrongs himself, then seeks Allah’s forgiveness, will find Allah ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. (110) Whoever commits a sin commits it only against himself. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (111) Whoever commits an offense or a sin, then casts it upon an innocent person, has indeed borne a slander and a manifest sin. (112) Were it not for Allah’s favor and mercy toward you, a group among them would have resolved to mislead you. Yet they mislead none but themselves, and they cannot harm you in the least. Allah has sent down to you the Book and wisdom, and has taught you what you did not know. And Allah’s favor toward you has been immense. (113)”
