Surah al-Nisa’—Medinan

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.

“O mankind, fear your Lord, who created you from a single soul, and created from it its mate, and from the two spread countless men and women. And fear Allah, in whose name you appeal to one another, and honour the ties of kinship. Surely Allah is ever watchful over you. (1)

Give the orphans their property, and do not exchange your worthless possessions for their good ones, nor consume their property along with your own. Surely, that is a grave sin. (2)”
