“When two groups among you were about to lose heart, though Allah was their Protector. So in Allah let the believers put their trust.” (122)
“When two groups among you were about to lose heart,” that is, they were about to become cowardly, weaken, and hold back. The two groups were the Banu Salimah
﴿إِذْ هَمَّتْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ تَفْشَلَا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ (١٢٢) ﴾
﴿إِذْ هَمَّتْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ تَفْشَلَا﴾ أَيْ: تَجْبُنَا وَتَضْعُفَا وَتَتَخَلَّفَا وَالطَّائِفَتَانِ بَنُو سَلَمَةَ
