(Section on the Virtues of Reciting the Quran)
‘Abd al-Wahid al-Mulayhi informed us; ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Shurayh informed us; Abu al-Qasim ‘Abd Allah ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz al-Baghawi informed us; ‘Ali ibn al-Ja‘d narrated to us; Shu‘bah informed us from Qatadah, from Zurarah ibn Awfa, from Sa‘d ibn Hisham, from ‘A’ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “One proficient in the Quran is like the noble, righteous scribes; and whoever recites it while finding it difficult shall have two rewards.” (1) It is authentic.
Hisham al-Dastuwa’i narrated from Qatadah through this chain of transmission: “The one who reads the Quran

(فَصْلٌ فِي فَضَائِلِ تِلَاوَةِ الْقُرْآنِ)
أَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ الْمَلِيحِيُّ أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ أَنَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْبَغَوِيُّ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْجَعْدِ أَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ﵂ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: " مَثَلُ الْمَاهِرِ بِالْقُرْآنِ مَثَلُ السَّفَرَةِ الْكِرَامِ الْبَرَرَةِ، وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يَقْرَؤُهُ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ شَاقٌّ لَهُ أَجْرَانِ " (١) صَحِيحٌ. وَقَالَ هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ: " الَّذِي يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ
