“The example of those who spend their wealth seeking Allah’s pleasure and out of firm conviction in their own souls is that of a garden on high ground, struck by a heavy rainfall, and so it yields twice its produce. Even if no heavy rainfall strikes it, then a light rain does. And Allah sees all that you do.” (265)
His saying, Exalted is He: “The example of those who spend their wealth seeking Allah’s pleasure”—that is, seeking the good pleasure of Allah, Exalted is He—“and out of firm conviction in their own souls.”
