Tafsir al-Baghawi - Al-Baghawi - (8/521)

Imam Abu al-Hasan Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad al-Dawudi informed us: Abu al-Hasan Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Musa ibn al-Salt related to us; Abu Ishaq Ibrahim ibn Abd al-Samad al-Hashimi related to us; al-Husayn ibn al-Hasan related to us in Mecca; Abd Allah ibn al-Mubarak and al-Fadl ibn Musa related to us, saying: Abd Allah ibn Sa'id ibn Abi Hind related to us from his father, from Ibn Abbas, who said: The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: “There are two blessings concerning which many people are at a loss: health and free time.” (1)

Muhammad ibn Ka'b said: That is, concerning the blessing He has bestowed upon you through Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

Abu al-Aliyah said: Concerning Islam and the Sunnah. Al-Husayn ibn al-Fadl said: The easing of the legal obligations and the making of the Quran easy.

أَخْبَرَنَا الْإِمَامُ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّاوُدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مُوسَى بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بِمَكَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ: "نِعْمَتَانِ مَغْبُونٌ فِيهِمَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ: الصِّحَّةُ وَالْفَرَاغُ" (١) . قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ: يَعْنِي عَمَّا أَنْعَمَ عَلَيْكُمْ بِمُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ. وَقَالَ أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ: عَنِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَنِ. وَقَالَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ: تَخْفِيفُ الشَّرَائِعِ وَتَيْسِيرُ الْقُرْآنِ.
