“Indeed, their Lord is fully aware of them on that Day.” (11)
Regarding His saying, “Indeed, their Lord is fully aware of them”: the pronoun is plural because “man” is a generic noun. “On that Day, [He is] fully aware”: that is, knowing. Al-Zajjaj said: Allah is fully aware of them on that Day and at all other times; however, the meaning is that He will recompense them for their disbelief on that Day.
(1) In manuscript B: “he gathers.”
(2) The text within the parentheses is omitted in manuscript B.
