Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz informed us; al-Qasim ibn Jafar informed us; Abu Ali al-Lului informed us; Abu Dawud informed us; Muhammad ibn al-Muthanna narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Jafar narrated to us; Shubah narrated to us, from Musa ibn Abi Aishah, who said: “A man would pray on the roof of his house, and whenever he recited, ‘Is not He who did that able to bring the dead to life?’ he would say, ‘Glory be to You! Yes indeed.’ They asked him about this, and he replied, ‘I heard it from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.’” (1)

أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أبو علي اللؤلؤي، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ رَجُلٌ يُصَلِّي فَوْقَ بَيْتِهِ فَكَانَ إِذَا قَرَأَ: "أَلَيْسَ ذَلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى" قَالَ: سُبْحَانَكَ بَلَى، فَسَأَلُوهُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ (١) .
