peace be upon them. “And she was among the devoutly obedient”: that is, among the people who were devoutly obedient to her Lord. This is why He did not say, “among the devoutly obedient women.”
Ata said: “Among the devoutly obedient” means among those who pray. It is also possible that by “the devoutly obedient” He meant her kinfolk and clan, for they were righteous people, obedient to Allah.
It was narrated to us from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he said: “It is enough for you, among the women of the worlds, to know Mary, daughter of Imran; Khadijah, daughter of Khuwaylid; Fatimah, daughter of Muhammad; and Asiyah, Pharaoh’s wife.” (1)

عَلَيْهِمُ السَّلَامُ. ﴿وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ﴾ أَيْ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ الْقَانِتِينَ الْمُطِيعِينَ لِرَبِّهَا وَلِذَلِكَ لَمْ يَقُلْ مِنَ الْقَانِتَاتِ.
وَقَالَ عَطَاءٌ: "مِنَ الْقَانِتِينَ" أَيْ مِنَ الْمَصَلِّينَ. وَيَجُوزُ أَنْ يُرِيدَ بِالْقَانِتِينَ رَهْطَهَا وَعَشِيرَتَهَا فَإِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا أَهْلَ صَلَاحٍ مُطِيعِينَ لِلَّهِ.
وَرُوِّينَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: "حَسْبُكَ مِنْ نِسَاءِ الْعَالَمِينَ: مَرْيَمُ بِنْتُ عِمْرَانَ وَخَدِيجَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ وَفَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآسِيَةُ امْرَأَةُ فِرْعَوْنَ" (١) .
