“Then there will be a welcome of boiling water, (93) and burning in Hellfire. (94) Indeed, this is the certain truth. (95) So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. (96)”
“Then there will be a welcome of boiling water”: that is, what is prepared for them is the boiling water of Hell. “And burning in Hellfire”: being made to enter a tremendous Fire. “Indeed, this”—meaning, what has been mentioned concerning those at the point of death—“is the certain truth”: that is, the truth that is certain; He ascribed certainty to itself. “So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.” It was said: Perform prayer in remembrance of your Lord and at His command. It was also said that the letter bā’ is superfluous, meaning: Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great.

Abu ‘Uthman al-Dabbi informed us; Abu Muhammad al-Jarrahi informed us; Abu al-‘Abbas al-Mahbubi narrated to us; Abu ‘Isa al-Tirmidhi narrated to us; Mahmud ibn Ghaylan narrated to us; Abu Dawud narrated to us, saying: Shu‘bah informed us from al-A‘mash, who said: I heard Sa‘d ibn ‘Ubaydah narrating from al-Mustawrid, from Silah ibn Zufar, from Hudhayfah, that he prayed with the Prophet, and that in his bowing he would say, “Glory be to my Lord, the Magnificent,” and in his prostration, “Glory be to my Lord, the Most High.” Whenever he came to a verse concerning mercy, he would pause and ask; and whenever he came to a verse concerning punishment, he would pause and seek refuge.
