“O mountains, echo His praises with him” (Saba’ 34:10). Qatadah said: He is one who prays.

“Heedful”: Ibn ‘Abbas said: one who observes Allah’s command. It is also narrated from him: one who keeps track of his sins until he turns back from them and seeks Allah’s forgiveness for them. Qatadah said: one who faithfully preserves what Allah has entrusted to him of His due. Al-Dahhak said: one who guards himself and takes care of his soul. Al-Sha‘bi said: one who remains watchful. Sahl ibn ‘Abd Allah said: one who steadfastly observes acts of obedience and commandments.

“Who feared the Most Merciful in the unseen and came with a penitent heart. Enter it in peace. That is the Day of Eternity. They will have whatever they wish therein, and with Us is more.” (33–35)
