“What is the matter with you that you do not help one another?” (25)
“Detain them, for they will be questioned.” Ibn Abbas said: concerning all their words and deeds.
It is also narrated from him that they will be questioned concerning: “There is no god worthy of worship but Allah.”
In a report from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: “On the Day of Resurrection, the feet of the son of Adam will not move until he is questioned about four matters: his youth and how he wore it away; his life and how he spent it; his wealth—where he acquired it and on what he spent it; and his knowledge—what he did with it.” (1)
(1) Al-Tirmidhi narrated it in al-Qiyamah, chapter: “What Has Been Reported Regarding Reckoning and Retribution,” 7:101, and said: “This hadith is hasan sahih.” Al-Mundhiri approved it in al-Targhib wa al-Tarhib. In Majma al-Zawaid, 10:346, al-Haythami attributed a similar version to al-Tabarani and al-Bazzar, then said: “The narrators of al-Tabarani are those of the Sahih, except Samit ibn Muadh and Adi ibn Adi al-Kindi; both are trustworthy.”
وَقِفُوهُمْ ﴿إِنَّهُمْ مَسْئُولُونَ﴾ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: عَنْ جَمِيعِ أَقْوَالِهِمْ وَأَفْعَالِهِمْ.
وَرُوِيَ عَنْهُ عَنْ: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ. وَفِي الْخَبَرِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: "لَا تَزُولُ قَدَمَا ابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ أَرْبَعَةِ أَشْيَاءَ: عَنْ شَبَابِهِ فِيمَا أَبْلَاهُ، وَعَنْ عُمُرِهِ فِيمَا أَفْنَاهُ، وَعَنْ مَالِهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ وَفِيمَ أَنْفَقَهُ، وَعَنْ عِلْمِهِ مَاذَا عَمِلَ بِهِ" (١) .
(١) أخرجه الترمذي في القيامة، باب: ما جاء في شأن الحساب والقصاص: ٧ / ١٠١ وقال: "هذا حديث حسن صحيح" وأقره المنذري في الترغيب والترهيب، وعزاه الهيثمي في مجمع الزوائد: ١٠ / ٣٤٦ للطبراني والبزار بنحوه ثم قال: "ورجال الطبراني رجال الصحيح غير صامت بن معاذ وعدي بن عدي الكندي وهما ثقتان".
