“How many a town We destroyed that had become arrogant in its prosperity! Those are their dwellings, scarcely inhabited after them; and We alone are the Inheritors. (58) Your Lord would never destroy towns until He had sent to their central city a messenger, reciting to them Our verses. Nor would We destroy towns except when their people were wrongdoers. (59)”
