Tafsir al-BaghawiAl-Baghawi

“None has sent down these”—that is, these nine signs—“except the Lord of the heavens and the earth, as enlightening proofs.” The word baṣāʾir (enlightening proofs) is the plural of baṣīrah: that by which one sees.

“And I indeed think, Pharaoh, that you are doomed.” Ibn Abbas said: “Accursed.” Mujahid said: “Destroyed.” Qatadah said: “One who will be destroyed.” Al-Farra said: “That is, turned away and barred from goodness.” One says: “What has thabaraka prevented you from doing in this matter?”—that is, what has stopped and turned you away from it? (1)

“So he sought to drive them out of the land, but We drowned him and all those with him. (103) And after him We said to the Children of Israel, ‘Dwell in the land; then, when the promise of the Hereafter comes to pass, We shall bring you forth all together.’ (104)”
