Ma‘mar narrated from Qatadah, from Anas, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was brought al-Buraq on the night of his Night Journey, bridled and saddled. It balked at him, so Gabriel said, “Do you behave this way with Muhammad? No one more honored before Allah than he has ever ridden you.” Thereupon, it broke out in a profuse sweat. (1)
Ibn Buraydah narrated from his father that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “When we reached Jerusalem, Gabriel pointed with his finger, pierced the rock with it, and tied al-Buraq there.” (2)
