“If only there had been among the generations before you people of virtue who forbade corruption in the land—except for a few of those whom We saved from among them. But the wrongdoers pursued the luxuries they had been given, and they were guilty. (116) And your Lord would never destroy towns unjustly while their people were reforming. (117)”
