“O you who believe! Fight those disbelievers who are nearest to you, and let them find in you firmness. And know that Allah is with those who fear Him.”
His saying, exalted is He: “O you who believe! Fight those disbelievers who are nearest to you,” to the end of the verse: They were commanded to fight those nearest to them, then those next nearest, in residence and kinship. Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: Such as Banu Qurayzah, al-Nadir, Khaybar, and the like.
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ﴾ .
قوله ﷿: ﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ﴾ الْآيَةُ، أُمِرُوا بِقِتَالِ الْأَقْرَبِ فَالْأَقْرَبِ إِلَيْهِمْ فِي الدَّارِ وَالنَّسَبِ، قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ﵄: مِثْلُ بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ وَالنَّضِيرِ وَخَيْبَرَ وَنَحْوِهَا.
