“And remember when you were few in number and oppressed in the land, fearing that people might snatch you away; then He gave you shelter, supported you with His help, and provided you with good things, so that you might give thanks.” (26)
His saying, exalted is He, “And remember when you were few in number and oppressed in the land,” means: Remember, O company of
﴿وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنْتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ تَخَافُونَ أَنْ يَتَخَطَّفَكُمُ النَّاسُ فَآوَاكُمْ وَأَيَّدَكُمْ بِنَصْرِهِ وَرَزَقَكُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ (٢٦) ﴾
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَاذْكُرُوا إِذْ أَنْتُمْ قَلِيلٌ مُسْتَضْعَفُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ﴾ يَقُولُ: وَاذْكُرُوا يَا مَعْشَرَ
