“A Biographical Sketch of Imam al-Baghawi” (1)
He was the imam, hadith master, jurist, and independent legal scholar: Muhyi al-Sunnah (Reviver of the Sunnah), Abu Muhammad al-Husayn ibn Mas‘ud ibn Muhammad al-Farra’ al-Baghawi al-Shafi‘i, also known as Rukn al-Din (Pillar of the Religion).
He was one of the scholars who served the Noble Quran and the Prophetic sunnah by devoting himself to their study and teaching, uncovering their treasures and secrets, and authoring works on them.
Al-Farra’ is a designation deriving from the craft and sale of furs.

"ترجمة الإمام البغوي" (١)
هو الإمام الحافظ، الفقيه المجتهد: محي السنة، أبو محمد الحسين بن مسعود بن محمد الفرَّاء البغوي الشافعي ويلقب بركن الدين.
أحد العلماء الذين خدموا الكتاب العزيز، والسنة النبوية، بالعكوف على دراستهما، وتدريسهما، وكشف كنوزهما، وأسرارهما، والتأليف فيهما.
والفراء: نسبة إلى عمل الفراء وبيعها.
