38 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: ʿAwn ibn Ibrahim told me; he said: Ahmad ibn Abi al-Hawari told me; he said: I heard Wakīʿ ibn al-Jarrāḥ say, “The intelligent person is the one who understands from Allah His command, not the one who merely masters the management of his worldly affairs.”
