- ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: I was informed, on the authority of Sufyan ibn ʿUyaynah, who said: “Do not judge a man’s intellect by his words; judge his intellect by how he brings his affairs to a successful conclusion.”
٣٧ - حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ: حُدِّثْتُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ: «لَا تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى عَقْلِ الرَّجُلِ فِي كَلَامِهِ وَلَكِنِ انْظُرُوا إِلَى عَقْلِهِ فِي مَخَارِجِ أُمُورِهِ»
