34 – ʿAbd Allah reported to us: ʿUbayd Allah ibn Saʿd ibn Ibrahim al-Qurashi narrated to us, saying, “My uncle related to us from his father that Muʿawiyah said:
‘Intellect is of two kinds: one forged through experience and one bestowed by nature. When both gather in a man, none can stand against him; but if they are found separately, the native intellect deserves precedence.’”
