31 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Surah al-Balkhī narrated to us—he was informed by Abū Muʿāwiyah al-Darīr, from a certain man, from Abū Rawq, from al-Ḍaḥḥāk—concerning the verse, “so that it may warn whoever is alive” (Ya Sīn 36:70). He said: “that is, whoever is rational.”
