23 – ʿAbd Allāh narrated to us; he said: Abū Kuraib narrated to us; Muʾammal ibn Ismāʿīl narrated, from Shuʿbah, from Qatādah, from Saʿīd ibn al-Musayyib, regarding the verse, “And call to witness two persons of upright character from among yourselves” (Qurʾān 65:2). He said, “that is, two people of sound reason.”
