15 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us; he said: Muhammad ibn Bakkār narrated to us; he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Abī al-Zinād narrated from Muḥammad ibn ʿUqbah, from Kurayb, the client of Ibn ʿAbbās, who said:

“When Allah created the intellect, He said to it, ‘Come forward,’ and it came forward. Then He said, ‘Turn back,’ and it turned back. He—Exalted is He, and He knows it best—declared: ‘By My might and My majesty, I shall place you only in those whom I love, and of everything I have created, nothing is more beloved to Me than you.’”
