110 – Abu al-Faraj narrated to us; Abu al-Husayn Ahmad ibn ʿUthmān al-Adami narrated to us; Muhammad ibn Yunus narrated to us; Hadhim ibn ʿAtiq, the nephew of Huwayth, narrated to us, from Laḥī ibn ʿAtiq, from Salām ibn Miskīn, who said:

“I was walking with Mālik ibn Dīnār—may Allah have mercy on him—among the graves. He called out, ‘O inhabitants of the graves! You gave yourselves over to the life of this world; woe to you now from the Lord of this world!’ Then a voice answered him, ‘O Mālik ibn Dīnār, the Lord of this world has already shown us mercy.’”
