103 – Abu Bakr narrated to us; Muhammad ibn al-Husayn told us, saying: ʿUbayd ibn Isḥāq al-Ḍabbī related to us, saying: I heard Maslamah ibn Ḥafṣ, from al-Ṣabbāḥ al-Thumālī, from Wahb ibn Munabbih, who said:
“In the collected wisdom of Luqmān it is written that he said to his son: ‘My dear son, the tongue is the gateway to the body. So beware lest something issue from your tongue that would destroy your body and bring upon you the wrath of your Lord, Allah.’”
