63 – ʿAbd Allah narrated to us: Hashim ibn al-Qasim narrated to me; ʿAbd al-ʿAzim ibn Habib al-Fihri informed us; ʿIsa ibn Musa al-Bajali reported, saying: I heard al-Shaʿbi state, “There is no good in knowledge that lacks sound reason, and for that reason it is said: In Allah’s sight, nothing rivals a person who is forbearing.”
